Fairytale Princess Ballet

Ages 3-5 or 5-7

Welcome to a magical ballet experience where storytelling and dance come together! Our Fairytale Princess Ballet program is a one-of-a-kind, multicultural pre-ballet class designed to inspire young dancers through imaginative storytelling, creative movement, and traditional ballet technique. Each month, dancers journey to a new country through a beautifully crafted princess fairytale. During circle time, students hear a portion of the story before class begins—complete with gentle cliffhangers that keep them excited to return each week. As the story unfolds, dancers bring it to life through movement, music, and expressive play.

Dance & Piano

Each Fairytale Princess Ballet class is a full one-hour experience, featuring 45 minutes of ballet followed by a special 15-minute group piano class—a unique combination that helps young dancers connect movement with music. By experiencing both dance and piano in the same lesson, students strengthen rhythm, listening skills, coordination, and musical understanding while building confidence in multiple artistic areas. This integrated approach helps children develop a deeper sense of timing, expression, and creativity, making their first performing arts experience both well-rounded and uniquely enriching.

A World of Dance and Discovery

Throughout the year, students explore cultures from around the world, including:

  • Germany
  • India
  • Native American traditions
  • Russia
  • Japan
  • France
  • Ireland
  • South Pacific Islands
  • Africa
  • South America

Each monthly theme incorporates:

  • Music inspired by composers or traditional styles from that country
  • Key vocabulary words from the featured culture
  • Cultural traditions woven into movement activities
  • A positive life lesson embedded in the fairytale

Children not only learn ballet—they gain appreciation for global traditions in a joyful and age-appropriate way.

Ballet Foundations in Every Class

While imagination fuels the experience, each class also includes structured pre-ballet training, such as:

  • Pliés
  • Tendus
  • Relevés (rises)
  • Twirls and turns
  • Piqués
  • Passés
  • Sways and traveling steps
  • Creative dance and movement games

Students build coordination, balance, posture, rhythm, and listening skills—laying a strong technical foundation for future dance training.

Tuition

After attending a FREE "Come and See" Class, fees are as follows:

Annual Registration Fee: $30 (includes ballet slippers, binder for story/color pages, two annual showcase performances, costume rental)

Monthly Fee (4 classes): $70

Extending the Magic & Our Mission

Each week, dancers receive a take-home coloring sheet with the featured story excerpt so families can continue the adventure at home, and at the end of each monthly theme students earn a certificate of completion to celebrate their progress. The year culminates in a special performance inspired by the princess journey, giving families the chance to see their dancer shine with confidence and joy. Our mission is to help children fall in love with ballet from the very first class while nurturing confidence, creativity, cultural awareness, teamwork, self-expression, and a lifelong love of dance—making this program a joyful first step into the world of movement and music.
